LITHEUM

LITHEUM (Lighting and Thermal Urban Model) is an Energy Building Model that adapts thermodynamic and lighting models to generate an interactive mapping of the energy demand of buildings in cities and territories. This enables the estimation of potential energy savings resulting from rehabilitation or improvement of the building envelope.

The LITHEUM model incorporates key variables that influence the energy usage of buildings for heating, cooling, and lighting, such as urban form, construction systems, and user behavior. It employs a modular structure and leverages existing databases, allowing for a gradual integration of innovative methods and data.

Designed for a wide range of users, from residents and urban planning teams to public administrations, this tool aims to identify the most effective urban measures and policies to achieve greater energy efficiency in cities.
